For the third year we will write to legislators in a campaign sponsored by Bread for the World, a faith-based organization committed to ending hunger here and abroad.  Our letters last year led to several bills being introduced to address hunger. This year the Farm Bill will

1) protect SNAP* from funding cuts and further restrictions,

2) fund fresh produce within SNAP  [*Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/ food stamps] 

3) reduce food waste and lower methane levels, and

 4) protect global food programs.
